FCA One Year Bible Jen Price
Has someone ever mentioned a story in the Bible that you have never heard of? Do you wonder what is contained in all those obscure books like Lamentations and Malachi? Do you ever wonder why we still have the Old Testament, since all you ever read from is the New Testament? Have you ever set out to read the Bible through (beginning on January 1st) and by January 4th you're already two days behind? Is it intimidating for you to read the Bible, so you just leave it on your book shelf? Well, perhaps this will both encourage you and challenge you ...
Members of the Student Leadership team have decided we would like to take the challenge to read the Bible through in 2006. Because the Bible can be difficult to understand, we are going to use a blog to share our thoughts as we read each day! It will also help us to have some accountability with each other, knowing some of our friends are attempting this challenge as well!
Twenty minutes each day ... that's all it will take ... and after you string 365 of those twenty minute sessions together, you will have read the entire Bible! Oh, there may be days you will get behind, but hopefully we can encourage to keep reading! If you want to get a little preview to what our blog will look like, click here (be sure to book mark the site, and beginning January 1st, check everyday for the daily reading and some thoughts about it.)
We would love to know who is going to take this challenge with us, so we can be pray for you, encourage you, and ask about what you are learning! Are you willing to take the challenge?
